Our mission...

In a country where the population continues to grow and lives longer than ever before, our healthcare system is under increasing pressure to meet demand. Within Ophthalmology, age-related macular degeneration has become more frequent and the number of cataracts has drastically increased. Cancer, RTT, Diagnostic and Surveillance pathways are being impacted by long waiting times and patient backlogs, which results in a lower standard of care for patients.

Your Medical Services works closely with NHS Trusts and private healthcare organisations nationwide to maximise efficiency and utilise unused capacity within ophthalmology departments. Operating a true seven-day solution service, we ensure healthcare settings are safe, meet ophthalmology wait targets and provide a continuously outstanding level of care.

Our Clinical Team of experienced healthcare professionals comprises Consultants, Optometrists, Nurses, Anaesthetic Staff, Technicians, Theatre Nurses and Support Staff. All members of our Clinical Team are highly skilled and come from NHS backgrounds.

Step 1

We will work with you to identify available capacity within the department on weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Next, we will collaborate with you to produce a Trust-specific operation policy that details all local policies, procedures and patient pathways.

Step 3

A team of Consultants, Optometrists, Nurses, Anaesthetic Staff, Technicians, Theatre Nurses and Support Staff will then be handpicked by us and approved by you to work in your Trust.

Our team will carry out the service to reduce waiting times and patient backlogs.

Following the first week, we will review the service with you and, if necessary, make any required adjustments.

Weekly telephone calls and monthly conference service review calls will be established, so we can ensure the quality of service remains high and allow two-way feedback going forward.
